Talk Therapy

“When we avoid difficult discussions, we trade in short term discomfort with long term dysfunction.”

Talk therapy is based on the idea that talking about the things that are bothering you can help clarify them and put them in perspective. It is an art of healing that can relieve the anxiety and help dealing with depression and relationship issues of the individual. It is a way of verbal communication, which includes the cure for broad spectrum of mental disorders and to relieve emotional blockade.

At times talking and discussing with the family and friends about the problems may not be as easy. Talking to the therapist who is proficient in counselling can help you feel that other people care about you and what you say. Being listened make positive changes by thinking and acting more positively.

The talk therapist is able to give an unbiased and unprejudiced opinion and advice for the troubling issue.

Why it is important?

Once In a lifetime, a person finds themselves lost for ways to articulate their pain in words and tends to suffocate internally, which leads to hampered functioning of their daily lives.

Through psychological counselling, that suffering can be relieved and the person tends to feel better about themselves and effectively grow in their lives.

    I was an introvert since beginning, couldn’t make much friends either. I had some issues in job and my college life as well. My family is very supportive emotionally, but I wasn’t able to communicate my problems with them. After I met Dr DP Shukla, he counselled me regarding my life and asked me to bring my family along. Ever since then, me and my family have been in constant touch with him and our lives are much harmonious as a family now.

    Within few months of marriage, me and my wife were constantly fighting and arguing. It was a very frustrating situation and we were about to get divorced. We consulted Dr DP Shukla.     I was such a lazy person. I had no identity of my own, as most of my work, I copied from others. It didn’t really gave me much outcome. After discussing with Dr DP shukla, he encouraged me to do work on my own, which not only changed my personality, but also transformed me into a more confident person. Ever since then, my work is growing well.

    I was always phobic of intimacy, when I got married. I wasn’t able to establish intercourse with my partner, because, it just felt so painful and overall, I never felt comfortable. It was breaking my marriage. I met Dr. DP shukla,for Soul Reading session. To my surprise, he revealed that, i was molested during young age, which had made my body's defensive mechanism to attain vaginismus......Out of fear and shame, I had not discussed this incidence with anyone, till date. But he himself sensed my pain and fear. For the first time in my life, I discussed it with somebody. This discussion helped me a lot to understand, that I was a victim and I need not live in guilt. Rather, the acceptance gave me strength to face the reality and anything and everything that life offers to me. He advised me to accept my body in a healthy way. I followed him and the things finally went well after that.
